My daughter-in-law was very worried about being a mother so I wrote this out for her.
All I know about Parenting
You know more than you think.
Use your common sense.
Babies are not fragile.
As they get older, say, "Yes" as much as possible
But do not be afraid to say, "No" when necessary.
Set limits.
Splash in mud puddles.
Go on picnics in the rain.
Make loud music.
Plant seeds.
Read stories.
Give butterfly kisses
Build blanket forts
Tuck them into bed at night and sometimes let them tuck you in.
Tickle them, paint cookies, and paint their bodies.
Be a child yourself.
Reveal your dreams
But most of all
Tell them you love them over and over.
If you like my poetry, you can buy me a cup of coffee
